PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hawthorne Elementary is located in progressive suburb of Ladner near Highway 17, north of Ladner Trunk Road. Our school is fortunate to be located next to a large park. In our school you will find about 450 friendly co-operative children with a dedicated team of teachers and support staff. Our leader is Mr. Carruthers, a dedicated, knowledgeable principal and Ms. Wyatt is our friendly vice-principal. Our school takes pride in having a very active and supportive parent community. They assist in reading, preparing lunches, helping in the library and fundraising. Many activities including team sports, band, peer helpers, and fieldtrips enrich the education of students. The School's Code of Conduct is: Take care of yourself, Take care of others, Take care of this place. The school's positive and inclusive climate is due to the efforts and time put in by staff and families working together to create a learning environment that meets the diverse needs of the students.
